Gardenia´s baptism!

 I was a little more than excited to eat KFC

Welcome back eastern time zone. Happy Bolivian Father´s Day this Saturday the 19th. I am done counting how many months I´ve been in the mission because it makes me nauseous. 

This week Gardenia got baptized! It´s sure handy that her boyfriend got baptized in July! ¨But if you dont get baptized, we arent getting married.¨ haha but dont worry! We checked that she has real intent! haha She´s cute. This same day I had to play the piano for the Stake Relief Society bday party and by heaven's grace I got to play Called to Serve! haha

One fun part of the mission are transfers! We didn´t have any, but my Hermana McDonald is in Tabladita now and she gave me an update that my drunk, but harmless, friend Dumbo, real name Pedro Leon, hasn´t drunk for 2 weeks and he wants to come to church. He can have new life through Christ! Just like we all can! Christ died so we might be. But the good news is that HE LIVES. I am so grateful to know that He died for me. and for you. Because He loves us :)

I Am His Daughter

Since this is the week without a p-day, here is the photo received from the mission home after her arrival in Bolivia on Tuesday, June 30 with President and Sister Willard.  

There is also a video below that was made by a missionary mom with lovely music, and lovely sister missionaries - including a photo of Hermana Park and her Peru CCM district outside the Lima Temple (at 6:35).

                       

Sister Park Featured in Sister Missionary Video

As Emily previously mentioned, she was able to be apart of a Temple Square, Sister Missionary Meet-up in March. Today they released the video that was made that day. It's so fun to see her cute face and see her energy and excitement for her mission! (She talks at 1:20)

We heard from her briefly last Wednesday, the day she entered the MTC to let us know she made it safely and will be posting her emails as the come weekly...stay tuned! 

The call!!

My mission call came on a Saturday (weird!) I opened it that night with family and friends there and on video calls. It read:

"Dear Sister Park: You are hereby called to serve as a missionary of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. You are assigned to labor in the Bolivia Santa Cruz Mission. It is anticipated that you will serve for a period of 18 months. You should report to the Peru Missionary Training Center on Tuesday, May 19, 2015. You will prepare to preach the gospel in the Spanish language."

AHHHH BOLIVIA WHAT. 

I will be leaving just 3 days after I turn 19 and I couldn't be more excited!!
